How long does the Santa Maria Jeep Safari take?

The tour usually runs from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, so it is a full-day experience. That gives enough time to cover the island’s north, south, and inland viewpoints without rushing the stops.

Is lunch included on the Jeep Safari?

Yes. A picnic lunch overlooking São Lourenço is included, along with a taste of Santa Maria’s 'biscoitos de orelha'. Drinks are not included, so you can buy them on the way.

Can children join this activity?

Yes. The operator says children of all ages can be accommodated, which makes this a good choice for families who want a relaxed way to explore the island together.

What languages is the tour available in?

The journey is carried out in Portuguese and/or English. Spanish or French may also be possible, depending on the day and the guide available.

What should I bring for the trip?

Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a rain jacket, and comfortable shoes. The route includes off-road sections, so sturdy footwear is a better choice than slippers.

Can I be picked up outside Vila do Porto?

Pick-up and drop-off are included within Vila do Porto. If you need transport outside Vila, contact the operator and mention it in your reservation so they can confirm whether it can be arranged.
